By plane and by train

Genève-Cointrin is the nearest airport (40-60 minutes, trains every 30 minutes). The train from Zurich Airport to Lausanne takes approximately 2:30. Basel's EuroAirport also offers international connections and is around 2:30 away from Lausanne.

Once in Lausanne

Two metro lines run in Lausanne (in blue in the map below). Both are run by the TL (Transports publics de la région Lausannoise).

The line M2 takes you to the train station (Lausanne gare) to the main access points of the center.
Line M1 takes you from the center of Lausanne (Lausanne Flon) or from Renens station to the EPFL.
The conference center is located right in front of the M1 metro stop EPFL.
