We propose Lausanne for hosting the 2015 edition of JURSE. Lausanne is the capital of the Canton de Vaud and is a lively city and an outstanding laboratory for urban planning and development. Fourth city of Switzerland, Olympic capital, Lausanne is renowned worldwide for its cultural excellence (the medieval Citadel, its 25 Museums or the Ballet Béjart) and for the quality of its formation and research. A green city by choice, Lausanne has taken the way of sustainable development and offers a dense and efficient public transport network and 350 ha of green spaces, which places the city among the greenest in the World. It it has not lost its urban nature, shared between the medieval streets of the Old city and the vibrant neighborhood of Flon, which attracts the nightlife of the region. By day, its unique location Lake Geneva offers beautiful views of the French Alps and rich possibilities for hiking on the shore or in the nearby region of Lavaux, World Heritage Site famous for its terrace wineyards.
